Making videos
My journey with video began right back in the 1980s, working on corporate productions. I was hands-on at every stage: from developing storyboards and scripts, to creating graphics, on set during the shoot, and completing projects at the final edit. This gave me a thorough understanding of what it takes to bring a video project together from start to finish.
The tools and technology may have changed, but the principles of telling a strong visual story remain the same. Whether you need a classic corporate video or something fresh for your digital channels, I can help you create content that connects and delivers real impact.
See some examples below. If you'd like to discuss a specific idea, just let me know—I’m always happy to chat about how video can work for you.
Social media
TikTok promotions
I put these videos together in Premiere Pro to promote Pick Me Up Theatre’s production of Fun Home in York, September 2025. Designed for TikTok’s dynamic format, they were also shared across Facebook and Instagram, helping to create buzz and excitement that contributed to selling out all performances. Each video captures key moments and emotions from the show, inviting viewers to experience this intimate and powerful musical for themselves.
Hyrox gym session promotions
These videos were created to introduce The Hyrox Hub Acomb and share authentic experiences from new members—individuals, friends, couples, and families—who are discovering Hyrox for the first time. Each video captures the energy, community spirit, and enthusiasm of those starting their Hyrox journey.
This campaign was commissioned to help publicize the new facility, and it has already led to a significant increase in enquiries and new memberships, inspiring even more people to get involved.

Employee coms for GSK
Pension Scheme updates
These GSK pension scheme videos were produced with a broadcast-style approach, featuring Carolina Lyons presenting updates from a custom-designed TV news desk set.
I managed the entire filming process, and post-production, which involved editing, designing all on-screen graphics, including lower thirds, headlines, and explainer visuals, to reinforce key messages and enhance viewer understanding.
The result is a polished, informative video series that communicates complex pension topics in a clear and accessible way for GSK members.
This video features a young professional from the GSK Pension Department sharing practical advice on the financial advantages of beginning your pension savings early in your career. She highlights how the GSK Pension Plan supports employees from day one—with automatic enrollment, employer contributions, and options to boost your savings through matching and additional contributions.
The video was produced with a clear, informative style to make complex pension topics accessible. I handled all aspects of filming and editing, ensuring crisp visuals and audio, and created custom animated graphics to illustrate how small, early contributions can grow significantly over time.
The result is an engaging resource that empowers GSK employees to take control of their financial well-being from the very start.

The purpose of this video was to encourage people from a broad spectrum of the GSK population to apply for the position of Member Nominated Trustee - the project was deemed a great success with a lot more people from a wide range of ages and backgrounds coming forward to apply.
University of York
Educational support videos
The University of York has commissioned educational videos from me to enrich student learning and classroom engagement in a wide range of scientific subjects. These videos have helped guide students through complex concepts—making academic content more approachable, memorable, and inclusive.
Below you’ll find selected examples. Whether used as core teaching aids, supplementary revision tools, or interactive elements embedded in course websites, these video productions reflect a commitment to engaging, effective educational media.
Welcome to York
Thie brief for the following video was to come up with something that could be played on a loop as students gathered in the main hall at the University to hear a welcome from the Vice Chancellor. The idea was that the video would be encouraging towards students engaging in social activities and pursuits but also giving a gentle reminder that there's work to be done too.
Pick Me Up Theatre
Animations
Pick Me Up Theatre put on Sondheim's Sunday in the Park with George which is directly inspired by Georges Seurat’s famous 1884 painting A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte. The musical explores both the creation of the painting and its legacy, using the pointillist masterpiece as a starting point for a meditation on art, creativity, and human connection.
