Designing on paper, on screens, on budget

The Story of Kevin Greenhill Design
From curious kid to confident creator :)
I’m Kevin, a York-based graphic designer who’s always been drawn to how things look and feel. Growing up, I was the kid who rewound adverts just to pause on the typography and colour choices. Over time, that curiosity turned into a real obsession with layout, branding and how design can change the way people feel about a message.
I started by experimenting on my own—posters for friends, social media graphics, anything that let me play with type and colour. Each project taught me something new: how to balance clean, minimal layouts with personality, how to use hierarchy so the important information always comes through, and how to design for both print and digital without losing impact.
Today, I focus on creating clear, modern visuals that help brands communicate who they are in seconds. Whether it’s a logo, a social campaign or a full visual identity, I always start with listening—understanding the story, the audience and the goal. Then I translate that into design that feels intentional, consistent and unmistakably “them.”
I’m still as curious as ever, constantly learning new tools and techniques, but my core approach hasn’t changed: thoughtful design, strong ideas and honest collaboration. If you’ve got a story to tell, I’d love to help you bring it to life visually.
Areas of expertise
Planning
IBy planning and developing clear communication for customers and employees, I turn your business goals and challenges into focused messages, supported by considered design, that people can understand, remember and act on.
Corporate coms
I work with existing brand strategies and guidelines and I apply them meticulously across web, social, print, presentations and signage so every touchpoint feels unified, consistent and unmistakably on-brand.
Employee coms
Most of the work I've done throughout my career has been about employee coms and especially communicating benefits. I've worked with GSK, Barclays, University of York, Esso, Sainsburys and Cleanaway to name a few, and I have won awards for my work.
Working with you
I believe the best way to work for you is to work with you. My priority is to deliver what you need and build a long-term relationship that reliably gives you the work you actually want.
Step by step
I work in clear, collaborative stages so you’re involved at every step. You see the direction early, shape it with feedback and avoid big reveals—just confidence we’re heading to a result you’ll be happy with.

Strategy
My strategy is to listen, reflect, then deliver. I start by truly understanding your goals and challenges through active listening, then reflect back my interpretation to ensure we're aligned.
Execution
I cast a wide net of design possibilities. Together, we narrow these down - you are involved, giving feedback at key stages. We arrive at a final solution that's polished, purposeful and exactly what you envisioned.
